2 more days until the Arizona bicycling summit meets in downtown Mesa at the convention center.
This Friday, March 31st, from 9 to 4 there will be speakers, analysts and industry professionals covering a wide range of biking information and issues.
This event is sponsored by the City of Mesa, Perimeter Bicycling, Coalition of Arizona bicyclists and pedestrian and bicycling professionals.
Some of the highlights will include Arizona governor’s office of Highway Safety, the “Spine” study by Bob Hazlett from the Maricopa Association of Governments, a panel discussion regarding Arizona bicyclist involved crashes and related data collections by Eric Post attorney and James Schmidt of Roadsys.
Afternoon panel discussion on building bicycling programs for under served populations with Matt Zoll from Pima County, Brandee Lepak, Owner of Global Bikes, Robert Chacon of WeCycleUSA and Bill McComas of Phoenix Spokes People.
The afternoon will conclude with the head of business operations for Waymo and a project overview of a bicycling focus with self driving vehicles.
All of this leads into the weekend and the 27th El Tour de Mesa taking place on Saturday, April 1, 2017.
